Thema: Resilienz in Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Ernährung
Deine Bachelorarbeit sollte sich damit beschäftigen, wie wir resilient und nachhaltig leben und wirtschaften können, dabei kann sie sich auf einen oder alle drei der Bereiche Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Ernährung beziehen.
Hier sind ein paar Beispiele, welche Bachelorarbeiten zu unserem Thema passen. Deine Arbeit kann ein ähnliches Thema haben oder einen ganz anderen Aspekt im Bereich Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft oder Ernährung beleuchten.

Beispielarbeit im Themenbereich Gesellschaft: „Resiliente Wassersysteme in Kommunen: Ressourcennutzung vor dem Hintergrund des Klimawandels”

Beispielarbeit im Themenbereich Wirtschaft: „Resilienz von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen während wirtschaftlicher Krisen”

Absolventinnen und Absolventen von deutschen und internationalen Hochschulen und Universitäten können teilnehmen.
Studierende mit Bachelorarbeiten aus den letzten zwei Jahren können sich bewerben (Einreichungsdatum zwischen dem 26.05.2024-25.05.2026).
Es kann nur eine Bachelorarbeit pro Person eingereicht werden.
Eine Nominierung kann sowohl durch eine Betreuerin oder einen Betreuer als auch durch die Studierenden selbst erfolgen.
Die drei besten Arbeiten aus je einer der Kategorien Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Ernährung erhalten ein Preisgeld von je 1.000 €.
Ohm Sustainability Campus Neumarkt
Die Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm (Ohm) ist eine Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften. Mit rund 13.000 Studierenden ist sie bundesweit eine der größten ihrer Art.
Am Ohm Sustainability Campus im Herzen von Neumarkt i.d. Opf. wird in Studium, Forschung & Transfer im Austausch mit Unternehmen, Organisationen, der Kommune und Gesellschaft vor Ort, in der Metropolregion Nürnberg und weit darüber hinaus an Lösungen für eine nachhaltige Ernährungs- und Ressourcenwirtschaft gearbeitet. Das Campus-Reallabor zur Erprobung und Umsetzung nachhaltiger Wirtschafts- und Gesellschaftsmodelle, insbesondere nachhaltigen und resilienten Ernährungssystemen lebt von Kooperation und Integration aller Stakeholder. Das Ziel? Bildung & Entwicklung für alle Beteiligten und eine lebenswerte Zukunft! Mit dem Bachelorstudiengang „Bio-Lebensmittelwirtschaft und Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement“ und dem Masterstudiengang „Kreislaufwirtschaft und Resiliente Ernährungs-Systeme“, der neu im Wintersemester 2026/27 startet, gibt es ein innovatives Angebot für Studierende.

Auswahl und Preisverleihung
Die Auswahl der Arbeiten erfolgt durch eine Jury der TH Nürnberg am Standort Neumarkt. Prominentestes Mitglied der Jury ist Prof. Dr. Tobias Gaugler, Ressourcenökonom der Fakultät Betriebswirtschaft und einer der leitenden Forscher des BLE-Projekts Besser.Essen, das sich mit den externen Kosten der Landwirtschaft befasst.
Die Preisverleihung findet am 20. Juni 2026
am Ohm Sustainability Campus in Neumarkt statt.
Der Preis kann nur persönlich entgegengenommen werden.

Nachhaltige und lebenswerte Stadt Neumarkt
Die Stadt Neumarkt i.d.OPf. stellt mit seinen gut 40.000 Einwohnern das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum der westlichen Oberpfalz dar. Die Stadt hat sich bereits im Jahr 2002 im Rahmen der damaligen sogenannten "Lokalen Agenda 21" auf den Weg gemacht und auf der Grundlage eines breiten Konsenses im Stadtrat einen Nachhaltigkeitsprozess begonnen. Mit dem Bürgerhaus (seit 2004) und dem eigenen Amt für Nachhaltigkeit (seit 2012) stellt sich die Stadt den Herausforderungen einer nachhaltigen Zukunftsgestaltung und ergreift gemeinsam mit engagierten Neumarkterinnen und Neumarktern pragmatische Umsetzungsmaßnahmen. Bis heute hat dieser Prozess viele konkrete Ergebnisse und neue Strukturen geschaffen und großartiges freiwilliges Engagement angestoßen.

Topic: Resilience in society, economy and food systems
Your bachelor‘s thesis should explore how we can live and conduct business in a resilient and sustainable manner; it may focus on one or all three of the following areas: society, the economy, and food.
Here are a few examples of bachelor’s theses that fit our topic. Your thesis can cover a similar topic or explore a completely different aspect of society, economics, or food systems:

Exemplary thesis on the topic of society: “Resilient Municipal Water Systems: Resource Use in the Context of Climate Change”

Exemplary thesis on the topic of economics: “Resilience of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises During Economic Crises”

Exemplary thesis on the topic of food systems: “Sustainable Nutrition in Schools: How Organic Products Can Improve Food Supply”
Graduates from German and international colleges and universities are eligible to participate.
Only one bachelor’s thesis per person may be submitted.
Bachelor's theses completed in the past two years are eligible to apply (submission dates between May 26, 2024, and May 25, 2026).
Nominations may be submitted by faculty advisors or by the students themselves.
The three best theses on each one of the topics of society, economy and food systems will each receive a cash prize of €1,000.

Selection and Award Ceremony
The entries will be selected by a jury from the Nuremberg technical university at its Neumarkt campus. The most prominent member of the jury is Prof. Dr. Tobias Gaugler, a resource economist from the faculty of Business Administration and one of the lead researchers on the BLE project “Besser.Essen,” which focuses on the external costs of agriculture.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 20, 2026,
at the Ohm Sustainability Campus in Neumarkt.
The prize can only be accepted in person.

The Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg (Ohm) is a university of applied sciences. With approximately 13,000 students, it is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Germany.

Neumarkt - a Sustainable and Livable City
With a population of just over 40,000, the city of Neumarkt i.d.OPf. serves as the economic and cultural hub of the western Upper Palatinate. As early as 2002, the city embarked on this path as part of what was then known as the “Local Agenda 21” and launched a sustainability initiative based on broad consensus within the city council. With the Community Center (since 2004) and its own Office of Sustainability (since 2012), the city is addressing the challenges of shaping a sustainable future and, together with dedicated residents of Neumarkt, is taking pragmatic steps to bring these goals to fruition. To date, this process has yielded many concrete results and created new structures, while also inspiring tremendous volunteer engagement.
